KONGSBERG has signed a contract worth $US 54 million(300 MNOK) to deliver an upgrade to the Royal Norwegian Air Force NASAMS II air defence system.
NASAMS is produced by KONGSBERG and Raytheon. The upgrade will be completed within a timeframe of three years. The contract comprises upgrading of existing missile launchers with new electronics and software for increased performance and lifetime extension.
The NASAMS II ground-based air defence system is an important integral part of Norway's air and ground protection.
