Vietnam said it has send ships to a site with oil slicks possibly from the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370. The two narrowly placed oil slicks were spotted by Vietnamese search and rescue pilots.

 The oil slicks each 10 to 15 kilometers in length, about 500 meters apart, was found some 140 kilometers south of Tho Chu island off southern Vietnam, the government’s website said in a statement. Absence of any emergency signals or distress messages from MH370, indicates, something happened, happened fast.


Flight Path
 The flight carried 239 lifes including 227 passengers (including 2 infants) and 12 crew members. The passengers were of 14 different nationalities.

The Boeing 777-200ER airplane lost contact with Subang Air Traffic Control at 2.40am, within two hours into the six hour flight. The flight bounded for Beijing, departed Kuala Lumpur at 12.41 am earlier this morning. The aircraft was scheduled to land at Beijing International Airport at 6.30am local Beijing time.
