Airbus unveiled the development cabin interior installed on board third prototype of its next generation A350 airliner flight-testing aircraft at Hamburg.

The MSN002 is the first of two test aircraft fitted with a passenger interior as a part of the 2500 hour A350 XWB developmental flight test fleet.

Intensive cabin flight and ground tests have already been performed during a two-week stay of the aircraft in Hamburg in mid-March 2014.

9 abreast seated Economy Class

A350’s “eXtra-wide” fuselage features a 18 inch seat in 9-abreast economy, offering more personal space to passengers in economy and business classes.
The second cabin-equipped A350 MSN005, will be used for route-proving flights around the world to the major destinations it will serve.
A350 XWB MSN002 will conduct long range flights with its cabin accommodating real passengers, along with hot and cold cabin trials including validation of the advanced fourth-generation in-flight-entertainment (IFE).

A350 will achieve a 25 percent better fuel economy compared to existing aircrafts in the same size category. A350 features Airbus’ first carbon-fibre fuselage and has 53% of airframe made up of carbon-fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP),

A350 XWB had won 812 orders from 39 customers worldwide as of March.
