French Dassault rolled out the 250th Falcon 7X business jet from it’s facility in Mérignac near Bordeaux, France.

This is a major milestone for a business jet as the Falcon 7X was first introduced to service in 2007.

The long range business jet entered final assembly earlier this year. Later in June, the aircraft will be flown to the Falcon completion center in Little Rock, Arkansas and will be delivered to its customer before 2014 end.

A total of 216 Falcon 7X’s are currently in service in 34 countries around the world. The fleet has accumulated more than 250,000 flight hours.

Dassault claims the Falcon 7X is the first fully digitally designed aircraft in business aviation, using its on CATIA software.

Falcon 7X can seat up to 19 passengers and consumes 15-30% less fuel than competing aircraft. It is powered by three Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A turbofans engines. The third central engine features an S-duct air intake.
