U.S. has approved Foreign Military Sale of Boeing AGM-84L Harpoon Block II Missiles and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support worth $169 million to Brazil.
The missiles will be used in modernizing and upgrading Brazilian Air Force (BrAF) P-3 Orion aircraft's Anti-Surface Warfare (ASW) capability.
Harpoon is one of the world's most successful anti-ship missile. The Block 2 version missile has a sea-skimming flight path with a range of 278 km (150 nmi).
