Boeing delivered the 100th EA-18G Growler airborne electronic warfare aircraft to the U.S. Navy.

The EA-18G is capable of delivering full-spectrum airborne electronic attack (AEA) capability along with targeting and self-defense derived from the US Navy's frontline fighter, the F/A-18E/F Block II Super Hornet.

Growlers is expected to be in service until at least 2040.

The U.S. Navy has 22 Growlers on its unfunded priorities list for the 2015 fiscal year budget. Current orders take Growler and Super Hornet production through the end of 2016.

Boeing is seeking additional orders for its F-18 and growler production lines to prevent shut down after 2016.
