A French Air Force Mirage 2000-5 fighter crashed on Monday at around 16:00 hrs near Briey, north eastern part of France.
The pilot onboard the single seat fighter based at 116 Luxeuil airbase was forced to eject and was unhurt.
The aircraft crashed in an uninhabited area. The Mirage 2000-5 is a multi-role single-seat, light weight fighter featuring an upgraded avionics and improved air-to-ground capability than its predecessors.
