Bombardier Challenger 350 super mid-size business jet has been awarded Transport Canada (TC) type certification enabling deliveries to begin in 2014.

The Challenger 350 which first flew in March 2013, is an evolution of the successful Challenger 300 business jet.
US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification will be granted shortly.

The aircraft was launched at the 2013 European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, with US fractional ownership company NetJet as launch customer. NetJets has placed a firm orders for 75 Challenger 350s.

The aircraft boasts increased performance from the new twin Honeywell HTF7350 turbofan engines, each producing 7,323 lbf (33 kN) of thrust and reduced emissions and increased aerodynamic efficiency with its new canted winglets. This increased power will allow an impressive direct climb to 43,000 ft (13,106 m) for cruising.

The Challenger 350 can cruise at Mach 0.80 with 8 passengers to a range of 5,926 km in 7.7 hours.

The aircraft’s cockpit is equipped with the new Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Advanced avionics system featuring synthetic vision, dual inertial reference systems, a paperless capable cockpit and MultiScan™ Weather Radar.

The 350 has the widest cabin in its class, with larger windows and features Lufthansa Technik’s next generation nice HD cabin management system.
