Lockheed Martin delivered the first of 36 4th generation Block 52 F-16 multi-role fighter jets to Iraqi Air Force on June from its facility Fort Worth.

“Iraq joins 27 other nations around the world who depend on the F-16 Fighting Falcon to maintain peace and security,” said Orlando Carvalho, executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.

This year, F-16 Fighting Falcon celebrates 40 years of evolution, with more than 4,540 aircraft delivered, and production is expected to run through 2017.
