The US lifted its delivery hold on of the attack helicopters to Egypt in April, imposed last year after the military's ouster of democratically President Mohamed Mursi.
Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby said the helicopters would support Egypt's counter-terrorism operations in the Sinai Peninsula.
