German Liebherr Aerospace will supply a prototype integrated air management system for Antonov's underdevelopment An-178 medium lift transport plane. The prototype comprises an engine bleed air system, an air conditioning system, a cabin pressure control system as well as integrated electronic controls of these systems.
The An-178 is derived from the An-148/An-158 regional jet family, with a payload capacity of up to 18 tons. Antonov in July end began final assembly of the first An-178 prototype following completion of fuselage jig assembly. The flight test is scheduled to begin in 2015.
