Gulfstream announced that its flagship ultra-long-range Gulfstream G650ER executive jet has been certified by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The certification verifies the airworthiness of the aircraft’s design and clears the way to deliver the first fully outfitted G650ER business jets before year-end, ahead of the projected 2015 delivery date.
The G650ER-Extended Range is world's longest range business jet, first unveiled at LABACE 2014 in May, with a range of 7,500 nautical miles/13,890 kilometers at Mach 0.85 and 6,400 nm/11,853 km at Mach 0.90. This represents an increase of up to 500 nm/926 km over the range of the G650, which entered service in 2012.
Like the G650, the G650ER has a maximum speed of Mach 0.925.
