Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp. will officially roll out the first Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) prototype airliner on October 18.
Finaly assembly of the new generation regional jet has been completed at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) final-assembly factory at Nagoya, Japan.
MRJ’s first flight is scheduled to second quarter of 2015, followed by first delivery in second quarter of 2017. This reschedule, announced in September 2013, resulted as design and certification, took more time than anticipated earlier.
Flight testing will be carried out both in Japan and US.
