An Airbus A320 with the tail number D-AIZQ and in the new livery will leave Hamburg at 10.55 a.m. and fly to Prague, where it is expected to land at 12.00 p.m.
The aircraft, which carries 162 passengers, is the first Airbus A320 in the Eurowings fleet. Further aircraft will follow in the coming weeks.
A total of 23 Canadair CRJ 900 jets are being replaced by Airbus A320s.
To start with, the flights will continue to be operated on behalf of Germanwings under Germanwings flight numbers.
By the end of 2015, Eurowings and Germanwings along with other European airlines are to be united under the Eurowings brand name and should acquire new customers by offering low-cost short- and long-haul services, in doing so providing quality at low prices.
