On January 31, 2015 Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company launched assembly of the 100th Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional aircraft at its Komsomolsk-on-Amur (KnAF) assembly line.


The assembly, carried out there at seven workplaces, include airplane empennage installation, butting wings to fuselage, installation of landing gears and engines, systems operability check.
After the fuselage assembly, installation of luggage compartment subfloor, passenger doors, service doors, luggage compartment doors, passenger compartment glass and cable network will follow.
Follwoing ground and flight tests at KnAF, the aircraft will be ferried for painting and interior installation.

The anniversary Superjet 100 aircraft with 95100 production number is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2015.

Advanced assembly techniques, such as jigless assembly, automatic assembly of airframe components and automatic riveting are employed in production.
Currently the plant has production capacity for 50 aircraft annually, which will be raised to the planned 60 aircraft per year rate.

Sukhoi built 6 aircraft prototypes in 2007-2010 and 5 in 2011. Thereafter the production rate increased in a planned manner: 12 in 2012, 25 in 2013 and around 40 aircraft in 2014.
