The new Malaysian airline, flymojo, announced today at Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for 20 Bombardier CS100 aircraft with options for an additional 20.
Upon execution of a firm purchase agreement, flymojo will become the first customer and operator of the new CS100 airliner in the region.
Based on the list price, a firm order would be valued at approximately $1.47 billion US, and could increase to $2.94 billion US, should flymojo exercise all its options.
The CS100 is currently in flight testing and is scheduled to enter service later this year. The CSeries program has proven to be a big mistake for Bomabardier due to developmental delays and cost overruns.
The LOI brings the total CSeries commitments to 603 aircraft, which include firm orders for 243.
The flymojo will operate out of its primary hub at Johor Bahru, Johor and secondary hub at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
