Pro Iranian and pro Syrian medias has claimed that Syrian anti aircraft systems has shot down a Israeli Air Force F-16I fighter and two helicopters.
Iranian Fars news and Syrian Free Press Network claimed the Russian supplied S-300 air defense system were used to shoot down the F-16I fighter, which successfully evaded missiles fired from Syrian SA-9 and SA-2 air defense systems.
The SA-9 from the Iftiraas Air Defense Base and an SA-2 near the Khalkhaala Air Base were fired.
The S-300 was fired from the Republican Guard base near the Mazza AB at the foot of Qaasiyoon Mountain west of Damascus.
The two helicopters (probably Apache attack helicopters) went down over the area near Qunaytra City and were reportedly shot down by shoulder fired, heat-seeking missiles deployed throughout the Syrian Army.
