The Naval Attack Air Regiment of the Russian Navy Black Sea Fleet has received another two advanced multirole fighters Su-30SM.

The aircraft have arrived to the permanent base in the Crimea.

The Black Sea Fleet had received the first three aircraft Su-30SM and two groups of pilots have passed trainings in Yeysk.

The new multirole fighters will gradually replace tactical bombers Su-24, which constitute the main type of aircraft of the Fleet’s naval aviation.

More fighters of the type will join the fleet to form an air squadron.

The Su-30SM variant is an improved variant of Su-30 MK series, based on the Indian Su-30 MKI modification.
