Sukhoi has delivered another batch of Su-34 frontline bombers to Russian Air Force, as a part of order placed by Defense Ministry in 2015.

The aircraft took off from the V.P.Chkalov Novosibirsk Aircraft Plant’s airfield and headed to the place of their deployment.

The delivery marks the third batch of the type to join Russian Air Force in 2015.

With a increased range of 4000 km, the Su-34 can carry a deadly weapon payload of 8 tons and achieve a maximum speed of 1900 km/h. The aircraft has a new weapon system and an air refueling system.

Developed from the famous Su-27 Flanker fighter family, the Su-34 will gradually replace the RuAF fleet of swing wing Su-24 Fencers.

Major difference from the Flanker family is the redesigned nose and forward fuselage, which enable a cockpit with side by side seating for two pilots.

Russia has recently deployed six Su-34 bombers to Latakia, Syria along with Su-24, Su-25 ground attack fighters to attack ISIS positions.
