Bombardier Challenger 650 mid-size business jet has achieved Transport Canada (TC) Certification, enabling customer deliveries to commence later this year.

The Challenger 650 demonstration aircraft will make its North American debut at the National Business Aviation Association conference and exhibition.

Challenger 650 has an intercontinental range of 4,000 nm (7,408 km) that can connect New York to Paris.

Based on the Challenger 605, the 650 features newly-evolved GE engines, offering shorter take-off distance, extra payload capacity or improved range capabilities out of challenging airports.

The 12 seater is powered by two aft mounted GE CF34 turbofan engines rated at 41 kN each.

The Challenger 650jet will also feature the Bombardier Visionflight deck, a completely restyled cabin, modern-looking and ergonomic seats, a redesigned galley, business aviation’s most advanced and best equipped Cabin Management System, largest-in-class HD monitors, Audio Video on Demand, Bluetooth integration and industry-leading connectivity capabilities.

Bombardier has three families of business jets, consisting the smaller Learjet family, the mid-size Challenger family and the larger Global family.
