Russian investigators has found, onboard bomb explosion has caused the Russian airliner to crash over Sinai, Egypt on October 31, 2015, that left all the 224 onboard dead.

Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, revealed to Russian President Vladmir Putin that, forensic examination of passenger personal belongings and luggage and fragments of the plane has found traces of foreign-made explosives.

According to Russian experts, a self-made explosive device equivalent up to 1 kg of TNT was set off on board, causing the aircraft break up in mid air up in mid air and scattering its fragments over a wide area.

The Metrojet Airbus A321-200, with registration EI-ETJ was performing a chartered flight 7K-9268 from Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt) to St. Petersburg (Russia).

U.S. and British intelligence were the first to claim a bomb explosion caused the crash. U.S. infrared surveillance satellites had detected a heat over the region at the time of incident.
