A Condor Airlines Airbus A321 passenger jet was involved in a mishap while being towed through the Berlin-Schönefeld Airport taxiway.

The right wing of the Airbus A321 (registration D-AIAF) scrapped a light mast, which then collapsed over the aircraft fuselage.

A technician in the cockpit was lightly injured during the mishap, which happened at early hours of Wednesday. The extend of damage to the aircraft was not revealed.

Condor is a German airline flying to leisure destinations since 1956. Condor operate to about 75 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and America.

Condor was merged with the airlines Thomas Cook Airlines UK, Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium and Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia in October 2013, to form the Thomas Cook Group Airlines.

The 40 aircraft Condor fleet consist: ten Airbus A320s, five Airbus A321s, thirteen Boeing 757-300s and twelve Boeing 767-300s.
