Airbus has completed cabin furnishing and engine installation of the first Airbus A350 XWB for China Airlines (CAL).
The aircraft was rolled out from Airbus A350 Final Assembly Line in Toulouse France on Friday.
The A350-900 will now proceed to further ground testing ahead of flight testing, with delivery scheduled for third quarter of 2016.
The airline has 14 of the type on order, and will be deployed on the carrier's long-haul routes to Europe and on selected regional routes.
The A350 XWB is the world’s latest generation airliner offering 25 per cent reduction in fuel burn and emissions, and significantly lower maintenance costs.
To date, Airbus has recorded a total of 810 firm orders from 43 customers worldwide.
