The first Bombardier CS100 commercial jet has completed more than one month in commercial service with launch customer SWISS Airline.
The aircraft which entered service on July 15 is performing as expected and demonstrating technical reliability according to Bombardier.
At the 30-day in-service milestone, the aircraft had completed 136 flights and flown more than 91,000 km. It has served 13,250 passengers and four destinations (Paris, Manchester, Prague and Budapest) from its base in Zurich.
Feedback from passengers has been overwhelmingly positive. They are impressed with the aircraft’s bright cabin, big windows, comfortable seating with good legroom, spacious overhead bins and wide aisles amongst other features.
A few, minor technical and operational issues relating to de-icing, air conditioning and ground handling were quickly resolved with the help of Bombardier’s on-site Customer Services team.
The second SWISS CS100 was delivered on August 12 and entered service on August 18.
In SWISS configuration the Bombardier CS100 will seat 125 passengers. SWISS have 30 jets on order, including the larger CS300 which will gradually replace the present Avro RJ100 fleet by mid-2017.
