Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) confirmed a new order for one Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range) widebody jetliner, that will replace another Airbus A340-300 in its fleet.

Valued at $339.6 million at list prices, the twin engined 777 will offer better efficiency than the four engined A340.

The Swiss airline had previously ordered nine 777s and taken delivery of six this year as it continues to establish the 777-300ER as its flagship.

The aircraft will be delivered in 2018.

Operating with a 94 aircraft fleet, the airline was the first to launch commercial flight operation using the Bombardier CS 100 single aisle jet in last July.
