Boeing has resumed flight testing of 737 MAX passenger aircraft on Friday, after grounding the fleet for two days from Wednesday.

The flight testing were halted to inspect the LEAP-1B engines powering the aircraft, for a potential manufacturing flaw.

A production Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with registration 9M-LRC destined for Malaysia's Batik airlines took off on Friday for a 1 and half hour flight, according to flight tracking website Flight Radar.

The aircraft since then have completed a total of five flights, between Boeing's Seattle field and Moses Lake Grant county international airport.

Engine maker CFM had informed Boeing about a potential quality issue with the LEAP-1B engine's turbine section manufactured by French Safran Aircraft Engines.

The incident happened only weeks before Boeing is scheduled to deliver the first 737 MAX aircraft to Malaysian Malindo Air, a subsidiary of the Lion Air Group.
