French air taxi operator Wijet has placed the single largest order for the Hondajet very light business jet, during the ongoing Singapore Airshow being held at Changi Exhibition Centre.

Honda Aircraft Company and Wijet signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 16 Hondajets, worth $78 million at catalogue price.

The four passenger Hondajet fleet will replace the Wijet's current fleet of 15 Cessna Mustang business jets. The first aircraft will be delivered in March 2018 with deliveries staged over the next 18 months.

The new fleet will enable Wijet to connect 1,300 destinations throughout Europe and North Africa.

The HondaJet is a light, compact and fuel-efficient super-modern business jet, with a 1400 miles range and a max cruise speed of 780 kph. It is powered by two GE Honda Aero Engines HF120 turbofans mounted on pylons above the wing.

The unique Over-The-Wing Engine Mount (OTWEM) configuration dramatically improves performance and fuel efficiency by reducing aerodynamic drag, and also reduces cabin noise, minimizes ground-detected noise, and allows for the roomiest cabin and largest baggage capacity in its class and a fully serviceable private aft lavatory.

Cockpit features a sophisticated glass flight deck featuring a Honda-customized Garmin® G3000 avionics.

The HondaJet's amazing performance will enable Wijet to continue offering its clients
extremely competitive rates:
