Two German Air Force (Luftwaffe) Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets crashed after colliding mid air over north eastern Germany, killing one of the two pilots.
The aircraft was part of a 3 aircraft training flight when two of them collided mid air. One pilot was able safely eject and land back unharmed, while the other died.
This is the first crash of German ters since introduction in 2004. Prior to crash German fleet consisted 128 of these twin engine fighter jets.
