Iran on Saturday unveiled an advanced fighter-bomber it claimed can evade radars, Iran’ state Press TV reported.
Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said the domestically manufactured Qaher-313 (Conqueror-313) “has a very low radar cross section” and is capable of conducting operations at low altitudes and carrying advanced weapons.
The new single-seat plane can engage both other aircraft and ground targets and can take off from and land at short airstrips, the minister said.
Press TV said Qaher was similar to the US-built F/A-18, an advanced fighter capable of dogfighting, as well as penetrating enemy air defenses to strike ground targets.
Contradicting Iranian claims, pictures released by Iranian news agency FARS, rather seems to reveal a mock up, than a full scale aircraft.
Current size of the aircraft is too small to accommodate the latest and primary equipment's onboard a 4th generation aircraft.

Aircraft follows the fundamental faceted stealthy design. Faceted surface design resemble, U.S. F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning fighter jets.
Aircraft features twin front air inlets which are buried with wings. Air inlet has an upper leading edge opening design, which conceals the engine as well as protects engine from foreign object injections.
Aircraft features a main wing with a canard shaped small wing behind the cockpit. The wings are too small for a practical fighter aircraft. The twin vertical stabilizers are inclined as in the F-35.
Cockpit feature's a simple design, with Multi Function Displays and some basic avionics. Cockpit lacks the basic avionics abroad a 4th generation fighter.
The aircraft would be powered by the Russian klimoc RD-93 engine which power's the HESA Shafaq fighter or a copy of General Electric J85 turbojet engine.
The aircraft is basicaly a structurely modified version of iranian built Saeqah or Shafaq fighters. The aircraft is nowhere near a 4th generation fighter itself. Size of aircraft is too small prompting it to be a mock up model.
