After almost two days of searching for the wreckage, Malaysia said it has expanded the search area for the missing Malaysia Airlines(MAS) Boeing 777 airplane, after a view that, the aircraft might have attempted a turn back.


The international search and locate fleet now comprises over 20 aircrafts and 30 ships.

US Navy has launched a P-3C Orion and an MH-60R helicopter from USS Pinckney (DDG 91) for searching over the last known communication and radar positions of MH370.

Singapore has pressed two air force C-130 aircraft, a navy (RSN) Formidable-class frigate (RSS Steadfast), with a Sikorsky S-70B naval helicopter onboard, a submarine support and rescue vessel with divers onboard, as well as a Missile Corvette (RSS Vigour).

Vietnam has five vessels comprising two naval ships and 3 marine police patrol vessels, also two two A56 planes.
