Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer, Antonov and Polish aerospace companies held discussion in Bydgoszcz, Poland, to equip Antonov built aircraft with western avionics, to meet European standards and requirements.

Both sides agreed the creation of a Ukraine-Polish joint venture to develop improved variants of Antonov AN−148, AN−158 and AN−178 aircraft, featuring Polish and European components.

Polish aviation enterprises took part in the discussion, included: WZL – 1/3 aircraft repair and overhaul plant in Budgosch, Drabpol Company, Arboleda Company, Polish Aviation Institute and BBC ITWL Techical institute.

They also discussed a joint proposal to offer ministries of Ukraine and Poland with a patrol aircraft based on the AN−148 regional passenger aircraft
