Bolivia has suspended the license of charter airline LAMIA Bolivia following crash of the airline's only aircraft in Columbia on Monday night.

Colombian investigators says the Flight 2933 could have apparently ran out of fuel, as no traces of fuel were found in the wreckage of the BAE Systems Avro RJ 85 regional jet.

The aircraft bound to Medellin airport crashed 17 km south of the airport, after taking off from the Santa Cruz airport in Bolivia.

The 2960 km aerial distance between the two airports is also approximately close to the flight range of the BAE Avro RJ 85 aircraft.

The air traffic control at the Medellin airport had asked the LAMIA pilot to wait while another aircraft was landing at the airport.

In his final words with the ATC, the Bolivian pilot Miguel Quiroga's says the aircraft is in total failure with no electrical power and fuel.

The four engines of the aircraft could have starved out of fuel, losing the electrical generators which are driven by the engine power.
